MCAT is the Medical College Admissions Test. Medical schools use this test to predict the future success of medical school students. MCAT consists of a 3 hour and 20 minute computer based multiple choice examination that tests knowledge of basic science concepts, problem-solving skills, critical thinking abilities, and writing skills as well as a 1 hour writing examination. Taking the MCAT can last up to 5½ hours. Preparation for the MCAT requies fundamental knowledge of the following concepts: biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, physics.
